Japan-NEC-ALISys-IOS Side Event on Japanese Cutting-edge Technologies for Landmine Detection and Clearance

 On 17th June 2025, Government of Japan, NEC Corporation/NEC Laboratories Europe GmbH, ALISys Co., Ltd, and IOS. Inc. co-organized a side event titled “Innovations in Japanese Technologies for Humanitarian Mine Action: Digital Transformation of Land mine Operations using Big Data and AI, Dual Sensor "ALIS" and Minefield Excavation Technology Using Compressed Air as well as its Practices in Mine Affected States” on the occasion of the Intersessional Meetings of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention in Geneva. The side event showcased to participants of the Meetings how Japanese cutting-edge technologies are enabling safer and more efficient mine detection and clearance, including examples of their use in the field.
