The Intersessional Meetings for the 22nd Meeting of the States Parties to the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention

　The Intersessional Meetings for the 22nd Meeting of the States Parties to the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention were held in Geneva from 17^th to 20^th June presided by Ambassador Ichikawa. During the meeting, participants discussed, based on the Siem Reap-Angkor Action Plan adopted at the 5th Review Conference, key issues such as victim assistance, implementation of Article 5 (demining), enhancement of cooperation and support, cooperative compliance and universalization. Two thematic panels were also held to exchange views on financing of mine action and strengthening synergies between mine action and Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda, respectively.
