10th Annual Pledging Conference of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention and an Officeholder reception

　On 12 March, Ambassador Ichikawa, in her capacity as President of the 22nd Meeting of the States Parties of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention(APMBC), convened the 10th Annual Pledging Conference, followed by a reception for officeholders. At the Conference, Japan, through a video message from H.E. Ms ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, expressed its intention to contribute approximately 14,000 Swiss francs to support the activities of the Implementation Support Unit, subject to Diet approval. It was also announced that Japan had contributed approximately 65,000 Swiss francs to the Sponsorship Programme, which promotes diverse participation in the Conference and advances universalization efforts.
