29 July 2024 NPT PrepCom Side event on Transparency, Accountability and Strengthening the NPT Revue Process, organized by NPDI

　On 29th July, Ambassador ICHIKAWA participated as panelist in the side event organized by the NPDI in the margin of NPT PrepCom to discuss how to strengthen transparency and accountability in the NPT Review Process. In her remarks, Ambassador ICHIKAWA emphasized the significance of strengthening transparency by the nuclear-weapon States in advancing nuclear disarmament based on the past NPT agreements, and presented efforts by the NPDI on the national reports in the NPT Review Process. Mr. NISHIDA Michiru, Professor of Nagasaki University, also participated in the event as panelist.
