Japan’s Presidency of the Twenty-Second Meeting of the States Parties (22MSP) of Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention

　The Twenty-Second Meeting of the States Parties (22MSP) of Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention, presided by Ambassador Ichikawa, was held from 1 to 5 December. During the ceremonial opening, Foreign Minister Motegi delivered a video message. H. E. Mr Guterres, UN Secretary-General (video message); Ms Nakamitsu, UN Under-Secretary-General; Princess Astrid of Belgium and Prince Mired of Jordan (Convention Special Envoys); Mr Carbonnier, Vice-President of the ICRC, Mr Munyambabazi, Chairman and CEO of Amputee Self-Help Network Uganda, and Ms Haering, President of the GICHD Council of Foundation, addressed the Meeting. On the final day of the Meeting, the final report was adopted by consensus.
